COMPANY’S HISTORY
A little bit about the history of the company.
The company has been created in April 2017.
The idea came up in a taxi which I had been driven.
At the back of the car, were two students, and one said he can not be bothered to rent a van, pack all his stuff, take it home, and do the same in September to bring all the stuff back.
This short conversation gave me the idea for the business.
TYNE KITTYWAKES ON TYNE
You definitely have seen the white-grey birds sitting on the Tyne Bridge. They are the furthest inland breeding colony of black-legged kittywakes in the world. In spring, over 1000 pairs coming back to Tyne (2 towers of the Tyne Bridge and the Guildhall) ro raise their chicks. The have been returning every year since the 1960s.
NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE
Did you know that Newcastle is famous as a city with the highest number of bridges in a mile (actually it is less than a mile).
1. Gateshead Millennium Bridge, built in 2001, it is a tilting foot and cycle bridge. When is tilted it allows ships to pass underneath. The bridge tilts every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday at noon from 1 May until 30 September each year.
2. Tyne Bridge, built in 1928, under restoration now to be ready for its 100th year anniversary. The famous Sydney Harbour Bridge project was suppose to be inspired on the Tyne Bridge.
3. Swing Bridge, built in 1876. It is build in the place where previously Pons Aelius (122 AD), Medieval Tyne Bridge (1320), Georgian Tyne Bridge (1781) were.
4. High Level Bridge, built in 1849. The oldest bridge with dual deck, rail on the top, and road on the bottom.
5. Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, built in 1981. Tyne and Wear metro.
6. King Edward VII Bridge, built in 1906. Railway connection with the South.
7. Redheugh Bridge, built in 1983.
RENTING TIPS
Ask the agency, landlord for the agreement and read it carefully.
During the viewing point things needing repair.
When moving in, check the whole place for damages, even small damages, even little holes in the walls after a small nail; take pictures and send them as soon as possible to the agency or your landlord.
This will save you loosing your money from the deposit.
All reports of repairs, faults etc. send via message or email to have proof.
When moving out, make sure you take all your stuff out, clean all your rubbish, clean all the rooms, take pictures from every corner. Especially take picture of the kitchen and bathroom(s).
